Guide Hachette Vins 2026
Vin 1er Les Millandes Domaine Amiot & Fils

Morey-Saint-Denis 1er cru
Les Millandes 2023

Mineral finesse, balance, and remarkable tension.

  • Color : red, still
  • Vintage : 2023
  • Rating : 3 stars – Favourite (Coup de Cœur)

Guide’s commentary:
A Premier Cru located close to the village, whose name derives from the old term “Millaudes,” referring to land once cultivated with millet, reflecting the site’s agricultural origins before its winemaking vocation.

The estate owns 0.45 hectares of Pinot Noir here. The grapes, harvested at optimal ripeness on September 9th, were vinified with a portion of whole clusters retained.

In the glass, this Morey immediately stands out for the intensity of its raspberry and blackcurrant aromas. The fruit expresses itself with the same harmony on the palate – generous, round, concentrated, and indulgent – supported by silky tannins that will allow this wine to age gracefully and confidently.

Vin Village Morey Saint Denis Domaine Amiot & Fils

Morey-Saint-Denis 2023

  • Color : red, still
  • Vintage : 2023
  • Rating : 2 stars

Guide’s commentary:
The estate confirms its status as a benchmark of the appellation with this cuvée, distinguished by its aromatic freshness – featuring notes of raspberry, cherry, and blackcurrant – and by an elegant, fresh, and supple palate, carried by smooth, fine tannins that ensure a superb balance.

Vin Grand Cru Clos dela Roche Domaine Amiot & Fils

Clos-de-la-Roche Grand Cru 2023

  • Color : red, still
  • Vintage : 2023
  • Rating : 2 stars – Favourite (Coup de Cœur)

Guide’s commentary:
Jean-Louis Amiot owns just over 0.5 hectares across two parcels within the Grand Cru: Les Fremières and Les Monts Luisants. These vines have earned the estate numerous accolades over the years, including several “Coup de Cœur” distinctions – such as the one awarded to the 2022 vintage.

The vines were harvested on September 9th, 2023, with part of the crop fermented as whole clusters. The result is an intense wine, offering a beautifully harmonious blend of red and black fruits, enhanced by a subtle touch of oak that adds complexity. On the palate, the tannins are silky and velvety, contributing to a soft, almost creamy texture, while supporting a full-bodied, deep structure that retains a lovely freshness.

A wonderful recognition of our commitment to crafting great Burgundy wines, and a valuable source of motivation to continue writing this story together with you.
